President's Message
Welcome to the Durham CPA Ontario Association.
I am pleased to serve as President of the Durham CPA Ontario Association at a time of ongoing change and opportunity for our profession. Our association represents over 5,000 Chartered Professional Accountants across the Durham Region and is supported by a committed group of volunteer leaders who dedicate their time and expertise to strengthening our profession and communities.
The mandate of the Durham CPA Ontario Association remains focused on delivering high-quality professional development and meaningful networking opportunities. Our programs are designed to support members, while also serving as a resource for CPA students and candidates as they progress toward earning their designation.
Our geographic footprint includes Ajax, Pickering, Whitby, Oshawa, Bowmanville, and Peterborough. Within this diverse and growing region, we aim to offer programs that address both current and emerging issues affecting today’s CPAs, from technical updates and regulatory developments to leadership skills and practical insights that enhance professional effectiveness. Member engagement is central to our success, and we welcome your ideas, feedback, and suggestions on topics and events you would find most valuable.
Volunteerism is the foundation of our association. We encourage members to consider becoming involved, whether by supporting events, contributing ideas, or joining our executive committee. Giving back through the Durham CPA Ontario Association offers a rewarding opportunity to strengthen professional connections, develop leadership skills, and make a lasting contribution to the CPA community.
